KONG, Shield Your Eyes, That Fucking Tank, Castrovalva Brew split 10”

09:11 by Musicologo go go

Following the recent success of their Record Store Day split 10” with Yorkshire's legendary Leeds label Dance to the Radio. Brew are back with another split 10” record which boasts even more rock power than the last. Whilst the previous release featuring Hawk Eyes, Castrovalva, Dolphins and Blacklisters was a celebration of why Leeds is the place to be this latest offering sees the label setting their sites further afield.

Manchester's noisiest and loudest sons KONG return for the first time since 2009's album “Snake Magnet” with the track “Ribbons”.It's loud, it's abrasive, it's amazing, it's KONG.

Sat alongside them are the ever prolific Shield Your Eyes whose track “Jessica” is a perfect slab of obscure post-hardcore, math rockand further proof that their upcoming 4th album (out on Function Records) will cement their position as kings of the underground.

Leeds' legends and firm Brew favourites That Fucking Tank contribute the track “NWONWOBH” which sees them churn out even more extended grooves, progressive structures and pop hooks than before.

Finally Artorcker Magazines, “unofficial best band in the universe” Castrovalva and their track “In Our Prime” wrap things up with another piece of punk fused, grime which has now become trademarked as their own genre of “noise hop”.
Their highly anticipated 2nd album is expected in late 2011 on Brew.
